The nomination period is October 21, 2019, through November 4, 2019, at 5:00 PM. Only written nominations will be accepted. Active members in good standing during the Fall 2018 semester and/or Spring 2019 semester, agency fee payer members who opt to become full dues paying members and new hires during the Fall 2019 semester who sign an automatic dues deduction card or pays the full dues rate no later than 5:00 PM on November 4, 2019, are eligible to make nominations and to be nominated. Self nominations are permitted. Every nominee will be required to accept in writing or decline a specific nomination no later than 5:00 PM on November 14, 2019. The names of nominees who fail to accept their nominations will not appear on the ballot.

Members are not precluded from accepting a nomination for more than one officer position. However, if a member is ultimately elected to more than one position, the member must then choose which position to accept. Members may simultaneously be nominated and allowed to serve as an officer and as a Department Representative.

Any active full dues paying CFAC member can nominate President, Vice President, Treasurer and Secretary. However, the other 43 Department Representative positions can only be nominated by and from active members within their faculty “home” department. If you have any question as to your “home” faculty department, please contact the election committee at: CFACelections@gmail.com.

Although the Election Committee has prepared a form for submitting nominations, use of the form is not mandatory. At a minimum, written nominations must include the name and contact information, including telephone, of both the nominator and the nominee. Nominations must also identify the position(s) for which the nomination is being made. Nominators are encouraged to contact their nominee in advance of submitting nomination(s) to determine their interest in running for office.
